How to Access

Getting Started is Simple

For Teachers

Register an Account

Sign up using your email and a teacher validation code provided by your institution or administrator.

Add an API Key

Go to Key Management and add your AI provider API key (OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, or 5CBot).

Create a Virtual Room

From your Teacher Dashboard, create a room, write an engineered prompt, and configure AI settings.

Invite Students

Add students to your room by username. They will see the room on their Student Dashboard immediately.

For Students

Register an Account

Sign up at register with your name, email, and choose the Student role.

Log In

Sign in with your username and password. You will be taken to your personal Student Dashboard.

Access Your Rooms

Your teacher will add you to virtual rooms. Each room will appear on your dashboard automatically.

Start Learning

Enter a room and interact with the AI. Conversations are guided by your teacher's custom prompts.

About the Service

The VIP Research Group is led by Prof. Maiga Chang at the School of Computing and Information Systems, Athabasca University. This Centralized Online Prompt System for Education (COPSE) is one of the research group's works, with follow-up research planned for future projects.

Almost all of Prof. Chang's works are open access or open source. This web service is open access and currently runs on a self-sponsored server, like other research projects listed among Prof. Chang's advanced projects. It is intended to remain online, improving, and accessible as long as operating costs are affordable and covered.

If access volume becomes too high, or if a business or commercial institution uses the service for profit, the terms may change to include donations, personal, academic, or business licensing, or subscription models.

COPSE stands for Centralized Online Prompt System for Education. It is a web-based platform that allows teachers to create AI-powered virtual classrooms with custom engineered prompts, manage student access, and monitor interactions — all from a single dashboard.
COPSE has two user roles: Teachers and Students. Teachers register with a validation code provided by an administrator. Students can self-register and are added to virtual rooms by their teachers. Administrators manage the backend configuration of AI providers and teacher codes.
COPSE currently supports OpenAI (e.g., GPT models), Google Gemini, DeepSeek, and 5CBot. Teachers bring their own API keys for the providers they wish to use. Administrators can add or remove supported providers from the Admin Dashboard.
The COPSE platform itself is free for educators and students. However, AI usage may incur costs depending on the API provider you choose (e.g., OpenAI charges per token). Teachers are responsible for their own API key costs.
Student interactions are logged and accessible only to the teacher of that room and platform administrators. COPSE does not share data with third parties. API keys are encrypted in the database. Students should be informed by their teachers that interactions are recorded for educational review purposes.
Teacher validation codes are generated and distributed by a COPSE administrator. Contact your institution's COPSE administrator to obtain a code. If you are an administrator, codes can be created from the Admin Dashboard.
COPSE is a web-based application accessible from any modern web browser on desktop or mobile devices. The interface is responsive and works well on tablets and smartphones. A dedicated mobile app is planned for a future release.
